Bengaluru: JD(S) faces another crisis - State president wants to resign

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 12: JD(S), which is reeling under the unexpected drubbing it faced in the bypoll, is now facing another problem. It is said that state JD(S) president, H K Kumaraswamy, has expressed his inclination to resign from his post.

H K Kumaraswamy was present at a meeting held on Wednesday December 11 where H D Deve Gowda, H D Kumaraswamy, Revanna, Prajwal Revanna and Nikhil Kumaraswamy were present. He reportedly offered to resign, owning moral responsibility for the total rout faced by the party. But Deve Gowda expressed himself against this, and proposed to strengthen the organizational system of the party by analysing causes for the defeat of party candidates. He cajoled Kumaraswamy into agreeing not to insist on his resignation.

H Vishwanath was made state JD(S) president after the coalition government came to power. But he was unable to create any impact of himself as all the decisions were emanating from the residence of Deve Gowda. Vishwanath had expressed his dissatisfaction about the fact that the party was run and controlled by a single family. H K Kumaraswmay too is going through the same experience.

It is said that H K Kumaraswamy's was a token presence when choosing party candidates for the bypoll and he was not given importance in campaigning. It is said that H K Kumaraswamy is frustrated at not getting at least the respect he deserves in the party being the state president, and as such, is mulling to sacrifice his post by terming it as owning moral responsibility.

As the party is faced with the threat of mass migration, the JD(S) leaders have decided to convene legislature party meeting by this week end to hold discussions. Till now, only Deve Gowda's family has discussed the defeat. Therefore, the legislators will be taken into confidence during the meeting, it is said.

Why blame only JD(S) as family Appa - Maga - Mammaga - Sose party? Most other parties are also family run businesses like CONgress which has Mother - Son - Daughter - Son in law and also NCP which has Sharad Pawar - Daughter - Son in law - Nephew - Grandson and relatives which occupy 12 MLA seats. Same for RJD, LJP, Shiva - Sena , IUML and various avatars of Kerala Congress.
We all know of PDP and NC in J & K

Same pinch for TDP, YSRCP and TRS in AP, Telengana - All family run outfits. Even Mamatha's TMC is proving to be family run with her Nephew and Neice joining as MPs
Only exceptions are BJD, JDU, BJP, CPI, CPM, CPI (ML)

Core business of JDS was selling B form of election, apart from safe guarding the loot earned while the family members were holding money making ministry. Now both opportunitiesthat are fast depreciating asset. None of the family members are holding any government post except one. I would not be surprised if one the family member jumps ship and join BJP with a pre condition of holding a post which has the highest scope to earn the moola by way of graft to support the activities of fast disappearing party and family fa
