Sharjah, May 28: In line with the directives of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and deputy ruler of Sharjah and the chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) on Wednesday ordered to extend the suspension of all social and sporting events, weddings, other celebrations in event halls, hotels and government and community facilities. With a view to curb the cases of infections, the activities and events have been suspended until the end of June.

The UAE administration maintains that the orders to minimize the gathering of people are with an aim to ensure the health and safety of all citizens and residents.

Meanwhile, the issued decree will be enforced from June 1 and will be strictly in force until the end of June. The suspension is also likely to continue if deemed necessary.
