Tehran, Jun 16: Iran's top negotiator, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, will attend the signing of an interim agreement aimed at ending the conflict between Iran and the United States, an Iranian deputy foreign minister said on Tuesday.
According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi confirmed that Qalibaf would be present for the signing of the interim accord intended to halt hostilities between the two countries.

However, Takht-Ravanchi said details regarding the exact venue and format of the signing ceremony were yet to be finalised.
Earlier on Monday, US President Donald Trump announced that US Vice President JD Vance would represent Washington at the formal signing ceremony scheduled to take place in Geneva.
The proposed agreement is expected to serve as an interim framework for ending the conflict, while further negotiations on broader issues, including Iran's nuclear programme and sanctions relief, are expected to continue.
