Sullia MLA S Angara, Sunil Kumar of Karkala might become ministers

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 13: The swearing in ceremony of the new ministers to be inducted into the state ministry will take place at the glass house at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday January 13 at 3.50 pm. The list of ministers will be disclosed. Chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa has said that he will induct seven to eight new faces into the ministry. It is said that Yediyurappa might drop ministers H Nagesh, Shashikala Jolle, and a few others.

Excise minister H Nagesh, had met the chief minister on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, he was asked by Yediyurappa to tender his resignation just before the ministry expansion. He was also told that in addition to him, two or three more ministers could be axed. Nagesh was unhappy at the development, and his supporters held protest in front of 'Kaveri' residence of the CM on Tuesday evening.

It is learnt that the high command has asked the chief minister to take in Aravind Limbavali of Mahadevpura here instead of Muniratna. But the chief minister is trying to convince the party leaders that he cannot go back from the promise he made to Muniratna. It is said that the CM unwillingly agreed to replace H Nagesh because of pressure mounted on him by the high command.

In a curious development, some sources also claimed that former chief minister and minister for medium and large industries Jagadish Shettar, is among the ministers who will be dropped. Names of Sullia MLA S Angara, Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar, Umesh Katti, Murugesh Nirani, MTB Magaraj, R Shankar, Munirathna, Aravind Limbavali, C P Yogeshwar and N Mahesh of the BSP are in the list of probables and it is not certain how many of them will make the grade.

‘Not lobbying, making me a minister left to God' - Angara

Six time MLA from Sullia, S Angara, said that he never lobbies for the post of the minister. He however agreed that the people want him to become a minister. He said that giving him the position of power is left to God's discretion.

Angara was on his way for the SC-ST committee meeting to be held under his chairmanship at Bengaluru on January 13. He spoke to media persons on this occasion in Mangaluru.

"I too pray to the God. I believe that when we get power, we should enjoy it. But I do not believe in lobbying for the post or pestering others. I have never done that and will never will. I have not received invitation from anyone to come to Bengaluru. I am going there to hold the legislative committee meeting. I however am confident that my name will be considered for the post of the minister," he added.

karnataka politics is dominated by Gowdas and lingayats. No one gives a damn to MLAs from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

People of coastal districts who support BJP think that the party is keeping them on high value. IN fact both districts have been taken for granted as motu and chaiwala know that even if no development is done monkeys of these districts will vote for BJP.

Perhaps this is good news . Again , in any other party, hard work is always recognized and oppurtunities are given. In congress unless otherwise you are chela of some minister or leader, you will remain as a sloganeer for rest of your life. The previleged chelas will contest multiple times despite losing every time . If you have connections you will be allotted a 'safe' constituency.

Nobody will be a given Minishtership from Mangalore and Udupi, just wait and watch. Not one person will be in the list.

BJP knows this is their stronghold so they don't have to do anything, all they want to do is pacify the ones who are on a rebellion.

Sadly, we are deprived that's all. Anyways, this change of ministers this time is going to be the beginning of a fall of BJP. Insights wil openly come to the fire, wait and watch.

That is good news ..But please work towards reducing corruption in Govt offices ..do not make people visit you for the land records which they already have ..Do not rename as UPOR ,E Khata ..etc ..Simply collate the existing data from various sections and see that you have a single unified document for all .
It might be challenging but not impossible.
You and me know that ,when you want citizens to visit a govt office ,you are making a means of gobbling citizens hard earned money.
