Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jun 1: The final verdict relating to the murder of NRI entrepreneur Bhaskar Shetty, will be delivered on June 8.

The judgement was expected to be delivered on May 31 but because of covid-related issues, judge of the chief district and sessions court, J N Subrahmanya, put off the declaration.

The judge has instructed the district superintendent of police to provide police security to Bhaskar Shetty's wife, Rajeshwari Shetty, who is one of the main accused in the case, as she faces threat to her life. The judge also instructed the accused Rajeshwari Shetty and Raghavendra to be present in the court on June 8 at the time of the delivery of the judgement.

Bhaskar Shetty is my class mate. I don't think he will get justice. As even his bones were not found. Even if they were found after several days of in water nothing can be proved. Our justice system will not believe in the eye witnesses many of the time.

Rampanna, Udupi.. I think it is due to Congress that this case is taking so long. Nehru might be the one who is working behind the scene to delay the judgment.

Nothing will happen. Without proper evidence accused will be scot free. Mother and son should be given life imprisonment. It was a cold blooded murder.

@Paul, Mangalore - have you already got hold of a copy of the judgement? Otherwise Rajeshwari is still a murder "accused" and not a convicted murderer yet. Moreover, your comment is a clear acknowledgement that you approve of lynching. Is it a kind of country you would like to live in? You don't have to like Rajeshwari. But you still have to respect every person's constitutional right to life (even after they are convicted). Otherwise why bother complaining about breakdown in law & order if every man is a law onto himself?

God Almighty is TRUTH...... TRUTH will prevail no doubt....we have to wait patiently and suffer ....God has given us the freedom to choose hell or heaven... . At least now u can make a choice to repent...acknowledge....make reparation...its not too late.....as long as life is there we have the chance for reconciliation.....be humble ..accept all the punishment which you deserves.... and no more commit sin of such kind......then surely you will be in paradise.......God's grace is there if you are willing to change your life......

Paul mangalore ,I feel now nothing special will happen to accused one.So much time has passed inbetween ,the accused one must be leading normal life as if nothing happened.I feel pity for his aged mother.Security to the accusd ,because she may simply slip off from the scenery before case ends.Thats the reason. She cant kill husband ,as he is already no more there.third there might be a great chance someone might make any attempt to harm her because of hatred.I dont have any hope of someone to be accused on murder of Bhaskar shetty.
