Udupi: NRI entrepreneur Bhaskar Shetty murder - examination of witnesses from Monday

Udupi, Feb 3: Relating to the sensational murder of NRI entrepreneur and hotelier, Bhaskar Shetty from here, examination of witnesses will be undertaken by the district and sessions court here from February 4 to 8.

The court has served summons to 38 witnesses to personally appear in the court to adduce evidence. The case has 167 witnesses. Under the direction of the Supreme Court, 40 witnesses had been examined within a period of six months to process the bail application of main accused, Rajeshwari Shetty. That process was completed on November 5, 2018.

Rajeshwari Shetty is now out on bail. The other main accused, Navneet Shetty and Nianjan Bhat, continue to be inside Bengaluru prison.
