Udupi: Bhaskar Shetty murder - HC dismisses petition challenging SPP appointment

Udupi, Jul 5: The state high court, which looked into an application filed by main accused in NRI entrepreneur, Bhaskar Shetty's murder case, Rajeshwari Shetty, seeking to quash the appointment of advocate, M Shantaram Shetty, as special public prosecutor (SPP) in the said case, has dismissed the petition.

Wife of slain Bhaskar Shetty, Rajeshwari Shetty, who had moved an application questioning Shantaram Shetty's appointment in the lower court and faced setback, had approached high court on the same issue. The high court, which had heard the arguments relating to the application, had reserved its order.                                                    

On Wednesday July 5, the single judge bench presided over by Justice Aravind Kumar came out with the order dismissing the petition of Rajeshwari Shetty.
