Udupi: Bhaskar Shetty murder – ‘Pass verdict within a month, if not give bail to accused', says SC

Udupi, Mar 18: Supreme Court, which conducted an inquiry on the bail application of Niranjan Bhat, one of the accused in the sensational NRI entrepreneur Bhaskar Shetty murder case order the case to be finalized within a month.

The SC also ordered that if the verdict is not arrived at within a month, bail should be given to Niranjan Bhat.

As a continuation of the case, witnesses testified in front of the court here in the city on Tuesday. Sumana, who was the then ASP of the city was cross examined. Inquiry of CID investigation officer Chandrashekhar will be held on March 25. Later, another witness Vivekananda Shetty will also testify in front of the court.

Senior lawyer Shantharama Shetty informed that the final verdict will be arrived at after for and against arguments within a month.
