Byndoor: Autorickshaw driver dies after Bolero pickup collision

In a tragic road accident, an autorickshaw driver died on the spot after a Bolero pickup collided with his vehicle at Kelapete in Shiruru on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Kara Ilyas (49), a resident of New Colony, Hadavinkone in Shiruru village.

According to reports, the fish-laden Bolero pickup was travelling from Malpe towards Bhatkal when it rammed into the autorickshaw heading towards Shiruru Market.

The impact was so severe that the autorickshaw was completely mangled, killing the driver instantly. A case has been registered at the Byndoor police station.
