Mangaluru, Feb 3: B A Nasir, the district president of Wakf board, Dakshina Kannada, conducted a press conference in the city regarding the Malali mosque controversy.

Nasir stated, “The Wakf board has intervened in the Malali mosque issue. Henceforth, the entire case will be managed through the Wakf board. The high court has transferred the case to the tribunal court, and the verdict was announced on January 31. According to the high court's decision, the case will be investigated in the district court, specifically by the Third Additional District and Sessions Court. Unfortunately, false propaganda has been circulating on social media.

“The high court has not issued a verdict on the matter. It has directed the district court to conduct the inquiry. Some claim there are temple carvings inside the mosque, but there are no records to support this. The assertion that Malali mosque is not a mosque but a temple is solely based on these carvings. The mention of this masjid dates back to Abbakka’s period and is documented in the book ‘Abbakka Sanakathana,’ Videsh Pravasi Kanda Abbakka Rani,” he explained.

Constitutionality of Wakf board is questionable. When you have Muzrai department, Minority commission, and another Wakf board for what? Does Wakf board hold elections or is it headed by KAS or IAS officers? Are they true representatives of their people? They in connivance with Congress are responsible for many ills, Shah Bano case, triple talaq, Babri Masjid in Ayodhya becoming political etc. Yes, they seem to have penchant for identifying crucial land along important roads and highways also. And hence the question, is it a real estate company, a political outfit or a board appointed the by Government?

The chief of the Archeological survey of India who happens to be a Muslim, has clearly identified well over 30,000 Mosques that were built on the ruins on destroyed mainly Hindu temples, but also Jain, Buddhist places of worship. In the interest of peace and communal harmony, the best way to have a long lasting solution, is reasonable people from all sides should discuss the voluntary return of at least the important sites to the respective religions. Failing which this constant fighting will cause animosity, and effect the friendship between these two communities.

Wakf board itself is a scam, they claim each and every land as their own, they claimed 1500 years old Manendiyavalli chandrasekara Swamy temple as their own land in Tamilnadu.

Had the British continued to stay here for few more years all the major landmarks and plots would have been legally transferred to Christians without paying anything to the British Empire. Don't know why Savarkar is called the boot licker.
