TVS and Bajaj, the Tuk Tuk manufacturers, compromise safety to keep cost low,
and therefore come out with sub-standard zero safety featured Tuk Tuks or Ricks.

As one can see, all vehicles have crash guards or bumpers in the front and rear to absorb the impact of shock in case of a collision. However, Ricks do not have any protection in the front or at the sides, with the exception of a flimsy bumper at the rear, that will bend even with a kick!

The Transport Dept. must come hard on these two manufacturers to install
tubular body frames, good quality front, rear, and side crash guards, and as well as seat belts.,doors cum sliding fibreglass window for both Driver and Passengers

For donkey years, the design has not been changed - something like the Ambassador and Fiat Cars, made in India. At least improvise the safety features for all the Indian education in engineering and technology! Learn some improvisation fromthe Philippines or Thailand where they manufacture better quality Tuk Tuks.

I always felt thst autorickshaw drivers should have seat belts along with bus and lorry drivers....how come every one feels only car drivers are at risk.
