Thanks for d recipe veronica .... I was looking out for this recipe since long.... I tried it out finally .... turned out really nice, crisp at d bottom . I used katsambar and surai in equal proportion (altogether 2 cups) .... 1 cup grated coconut and also little jaggery as someone suggested here ... kept d batter overnight and fried it in earthen pan... one i tried frying in iron pan (appam pan)... but I say, in earthen fried was d best . .. thank you all for your suggestions...

@Lorna Miranda, Muffis are to be baked in oven. and sanna or idli tins are only substitute if you dont have any muffin forms to hand. You can bake them also in in muffin forms or in a coffee cup,but not plastic.different types of muffin forms are available ,in porzelan,Tupper ware ,or hard ware in have the choice.(may be by mistake given as cooked)

  • Channa Sukka

    Suraj, Bangalore

    Mon, Feb 11 2019

I added all the Ingredients in masala to the grinder as said. Then I saw that the Coconut needs to be dry roasted coarsely. Ohh.. So the coconut needed to be added later on to the masala. Also the garlic looks full. So do they need to be grinded also? Can you keep the items to be grinded finely separately. However I got a Channa masala instead of Channa sukka as the masala was grinded finely because I had coriander seeds and red chilies in it.
In the end the taste came out nice. Thanks! Suraj
