Fazil murder: Commissioner deputes ACP Mahesh Kumar as investigating officer

Mangaluru, Jul 31: After the father and family members of slain Mohammed Fazil urged the city police commissioner to depute a senior officer as investigating officer, N Shashi Kumar on Sunday, July 31 has deputed South Division ACP Mahesh Kumar as the IO.

Earlier, Surathkal station circle inspector Chandrappa was IO for the case.

After the incident, a case was registered under sections 143, 147, 148, 504, 326, 307, 302, 506, and 149 of IPC.
