Bengaluru: Cooker bomb blast – Accused Shariq in NIA custody

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Mar 7: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken into custody Mohammed Shariq, the accused in the cooker bomb explosion that occurred in Nagori, until March 15. Shariq's health has considerably improved since he was severely injured in the blast.

Initially treated at Fr Muller's Medical College Hospital, Shariq was later transferred to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru for advanced treatment in December 2022. After three and a half months of treatment, he was discharged from the hospital on Monday.

During Shariq's treatment, NIA officials were stationed at the hospital to guard him. After his discharge, he was taken into custody and produced in a special court. The NIA requested custody of Shariq, as he had not been interrogated due to his injuries from the explosion. The court granted the NIA's request, and Shariq will be in their custody until March 15.

Who is taking the medical and food expenses of this person. If its our government then its using our hard earned money which is not correct. If this person is bound to be a criminal and has been a nuisance for our country, then he should be given a strict punishment right from the first day of his arrest instead of treating fair with him. the government should collect the money from their own and elected representatives salary to maintain his health which they are currently doing so

So its a gone case now. Note the timing on taking into custody. State elections are just couple of months away. Especially after statements justifying that its not 'related to terror'. 'Not clear, if its an attack' and all that xhit. The BJP will ram these statements in the right places to ensue electoral benefits. I would not be surprised.

I too fear the same. There will be updates everyday on what this guy squeals and how a major tragedy was averted. As it is, Benki Kumar Kateel was asking on DKS current stand after the earlier 'justification'. So its obvious, BJP will reap the full benefits.

Agree. Any fools would cash on the situation. But making riddicullous statements rather than keepingtheir trap shut or remaining neutral , they have scored a self goal. The current crop of Congress leaders are forcing people to vote for BJP. Some one really said it right.

So the only way out for DKS and his grand old party is to outrightly condemn all terrorist and criminal acts.

Now its time to sing. The irony awaiting is, BJP will make full use of this episode. Motor mouth Siddu and DKS had roared that its not clear , despite evidences.

I don't understand who and what prevents Siddu and DKS from condemning such terrorist acts. There's no doubt they are remotely controlled. I won't be surprised if it is revealed they are hand in glove with criminals.
