Mangaluru: Autorickshaw catches fire mysteriously; driver, passenger injured

Mangaluru, Nov 19: An autorickshaw caught fire in a mysterious way here at Nagori on Saturday November 19.

Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, “The autorickshaw driver and passenger suffered burn injuries in the incident. The vehicle was going towards Pumpwell from Nagori. The passenger boarded the auto at Nagori. Something from the passenger’s bag led to the fire mishap.”

The autorickshaw also caught fire. The driver and passenger were admitted to the hospital and are under treatment.

FSL team arrived to the spot and undertook investigation.
