Missing persons data gathered

To aid the identification process, the SIT is collecting data on missing persons from various parts of the state. Information regarding missing individuals is also being gathered from neighbouring states such as Kerala and Telangana, as well as from the Dharmasthala police station limits and surrounding areas. Furthermore, investigators are tapping into multiple other sources to gather relevant leads.

Blood samples collected for DNA matching

Special attention is being given to cases of individuals reported missing from Dharmasthala village. The authorities have already collected blood samples from the members of eight families. Measures are currently underway to obtain blood samples from nine more families to facilitate DNA matching.

It may be recalled that the seven skeletons were discovered during a search operation conducted by the SIT in the upper reaches of Banglegudde on September 17 and 18 last year.
