Mumbai, May 13: A two-seater training aircraft crashed-landed near Gojubabi village in Baramati, Maharashtra, on Tuesday after reportedly developing a technical fault mid-flight.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft, owned by Red Bird Aviation, experienced an engine malfunction during the training session. The pilot managed to carry out an emergency landing in the area, preventing a major mishap.

No casualties or serious injuries were reported in the incident, officials said.

Locals rushed to the spot after witnessing the aircraft descend rapidly and land in the village area. Police and administrative officials later reached the site and secured the area.

Technical teams have begun an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the malfunction. Initial reports suggest engine failure may have led to the emergency landing.

The incident has once again brought attention to aviation safety in Baramati, where Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had died in a plane crash earlier this year. Authorities said a detailed probe into the latest incident is underway.
