Mangaluru, Sep 5: Milagres College of Nursing celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and joy to honour and appreciate the dedication, guidance and valuable contribution of teachers towards the students.

The programme began with a prayer led by Rishal and team, seeking God’s blessings, followed by a welcome address by Vidya Ferrao and a gratitude speech by Rakshita, expressing appreciation for the teachers’ continuous support and encouragement.

Principal Dr Diana Lobo delivered an inspiring message on the uniqueness of every individual. Through simple examples, she emphasized the importance of understanding, accepting and appreciating the individual differences, abilities and strengths of every student.

President of the day, Fr Ivan Michael Rodrigues, highlighted the importance of happiness among teachers, stressing that a happy and motivated teacher creates a positive environment that contributes to the growth and well-being of the entire institution. He also congratulated the teachers and organising team for making the celebration meaningful.

The formal programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Salvita. This was followed by a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students as a token of love and appreciation for their teachers. A special dance performance by the teachers was one of the highlights of the celebration and was warmly appreciated by all.

MC Jennifer compered the programme, ensuring its smooth and lively conduct. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the teaching fraternity at Milagres College of Nursing.
