Mangaluru, Sept 5: A 19-year-old youth who suffered serious injuries after allegedly falling from an upper floor during a surfing party at a guest house in the Arand area of Pavanje two months ago has died despite undergoing prolonged treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Kishore (19).
Kishore had reportedly been invited to a party organised by a Chennai-based surfing team and local residents. During the party, he allegedly fell from an upper floor and sustained severe injuries. However, he was reportedly not taken to hospital immediately and was admitted only the following day.

Kishore remained under treatment for nearly two months, but succumbed to his injuries despite medical care.
Kishore, who was employed with a private company, is survived by his mother and brother.
The exact circumstances surrounding the fall and subsequent events remain unclear. With allegations of drug-related activities having surfaced in the Arand area, several questions have been raised over the incident.
Mulki police are investigating the case.
Local residents have also reportedly complained about activities being conducted in the Sasihithlu-Pavanje Arand area in the name of surfing. Villagers have urged the authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident and establish the circumstances surrounding Kishore’s death.
