Mangaluru, Sep 5: Ladyhill School (ICSE), Urwa, Mangaluru, came alive with a vibrant eco-spark programme at the Golden Jubilee Memorial Hall. Presented by the enthusiastic students of grades IV A, B and UKG B, the celebration marked the inauguration of Season of Creation 2026 with the theme 'Living Water', along with Girl Child Day and the nativity of Mother Mary.
The occasion was graced by chief guest and young author Reshel Bretny Fernandes, along with principal Sr Therese Teena, administrator Sr Ida Barboza, and kindergarten coordinator Sr Marlin Cristal Dcunha.
With a wave of joy and anticipation filling the hall, programme began with a soul-stirring prayer and vibrant welcome dance, followed by a warm welcome address.
The Season of Creation 2026 came alive through a creative tableau, as a little girl poured sparkling water, symbolising Mary, our mother, who inspires us to be living water and share god’s love. Adding a beautiful touch of innovation, chief guest Reshel Bretny Fernandes and other dignitaries poured life-giving water, officially ushering in a season of hope, renewal and care for creation.
The celebrations burst into life with a dynamic presentation featuring the ocean and a spirited girl child, taking the audience on an inspiring journey through the wonders of creation.
The stage came alive with a mesmerising dance drama, beautifully portraying the nativity of Mother Mary, the importance of nurturing the girl child, and the urgent call to conserve every drop of water.
Adding colour, energy and excitement to the celebrations, the cultural programme featured the electrifying “Trioverse” fashion show and the captivating dance presentation “Unveiling the Secrets,” bringing alive the potential, grace and dreams of the girl child.
The highlight of the day was the felicitation of Reshel Bretny Fernandes by principal Sr Therese Teena, administrator Sr Ida Barboza, and coordinator Sr Marlin Cristal D’Cunha. Her remarkable journey as a young author with five published books and over 200 achievements made the occasion truly inspiring for every young mind.
Bringing a wave of inspiration and enthusiasm to the gathering, chief guest shared powerful thoughts on the significance of the three celebrations. She urged everyone to cherish every drop of water, protect creation, and value every life. Encouraging the girl child, she called on every young girl to dream boldly, set meaningful goals, and pursue them with determination.
Reflecting on Mother Mary, she beautifully highlighted the timeless virtues of love, kindness, sacrifice and selflessness.
Amidst cheers, applause and waves of pride, prize distribution ceremony celebrated our shining school stars as they stepped into the spotlight to receive their well-earned accolades. Each achievement reflected the passion, talent, teamwork and spirit of excellence that continue to make the Ladyhill family proud.
With hearts brimming with joy and gratitude, the celebration came to a memorable close with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the dignitaries, teachers, parents and enthusiastic students. As the final echoes filled the hall, the entire Ladyhill family carried home a renewed spirit—to cherish life, protect creation, nurture dreams, and spread love, faith and kindness wherever they go.
