Recipes - Rava Dhokla

Ingredients

1 cup semolina / rava
1 cup curd
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. ginger and green chilli paste (Make paste of ½ “ ginger & 1 green chilly)
1 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. chickpea flour
1 ½ tsp. Eno salt
Salt as per taste

For Seasoning

¼ tsp. chilly powder
2 tbsp. oil
½ tsp. mustard
1 tbsp. grated coconut
Few curry leaves.

Method

Mix semolina, curd, oil, sugar, chickpea flour, ginger- chilly paste and salt and set aside for 30 minutes. (Adjust the consistency to medium thick by adding water).

Heat a steaming pot with water and bring to a boil. Add Eno salt to the batter. Add a tsp. of water over Eno salt and mix quickly. Pour this batter into a greased tray and steam for 20 to 25 minutes.

Sprinkle chilly powder and grated coconut over steamed dhokla .

Heat a tempering pan with oil. Splutter mustard and fry curry leaves. Pour this seasoning over the Dhokla.

Serve with chutney or tomato chilly sauce.
