Recipes - Beef Sukka

Ingredients:

1 Kg beef cut into medium pieces
5 cloves
3 sticks cinnamon
1 big onion sliced
2 tomatoes sliced
1" ginger chopped
4 garlic flakes chopped
5 green chillies (slit)
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. oil
1 cup fresh coconut
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves

For Masala:
5 cloves
2 sticks cinnamon
8 pepper corns
1 tsp. cummin seeds
1 tsp. mustard seeds
1 tbsp. coriander seeds
5 kashmiri red chillies
½ tsp. turmeric powder
A small ball of tamarind
1 onion sliced
3 garlic flakes
1 tbsp. oil

Method:
In a cooker heat oil add whole garam masala, then add onions fry till transperent, add chopped ginger ,garlic, green chillies and tomatoes.  Fry for 3minutes, then add beef and fry for 2 minutes. Pressure cook the beef without adding water.  Roast the masala ingedients with oil  and grind into a smooth paste with little water.  Add this masala to the cooked beef.  Bring to a boil, then add vinegar, salt and fresh coconut.  Cook till the water evaporates. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

    Meat can be cooked on direct fryer, in a open vessel, closed vessel also if you don't have a cooker.

    @Janet Australia,you can cook Beef without P:cooker.depends on the meat if tender ,takes less time if elder like soup meat takes Long.you fry onion in a vessel ,add cut meat and let it cook for about half an hour WITHOUT salt.(Takes longer)add the rest mentioned ingredients in the recipe.when needed water add only boiled water so that the taste doesn't Change.salt should be added when cooked.rest follow the recipe.

    This was one of my fav manglorean dish & unfortunately I didnt know to prepare it. Just came across this posting of ur recipe & tried it today..
