Recipes - Badam/Almond Burfi

Ingredients:

¾ cup almonds
¾ cup milk
1 ½ cup sugar or less as per taste
1 cup ghee

Method:

Soak almonds in hot water for 15minutes. Peel and grind into a fine paste (thick) adding sufficient milk. Remove and put it in a non stick vessel, add sugar, ghee and remaining milk and cook on slow fire stirring continuously for about 30 to 40 minutes, until the mixture leaves sides and turns thick and forms into a lump ( ball). Grease a steel plate & pour the mixture, spread evenly and make cuts with the knife when warm. Set aside until it turns hard.

    I love to go through the recipes in Daijiworld. May I suggest to the editor that every recipe she gets should give details of 'serves how many' and the quantity the recipe produces, as this is very important in planning a dinner party especially for the beginners.
