Oct 19: Dakshina Kannada reports 107 new corona cases, Udupi 110; eight deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 19: As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 2,26,133 samples have been tested so far, out of which 1,97,712 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 28,421, including 107 new cases reported on Monday. Out of these, 3,098 cases are currently active.

As many as 398 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 24,686.

A total of 637 deaths have occured so far, including six on Monday.

Udupi

As per the Udupi district health bulletin, a total of 1,58,551 samples have been tested so far, out of which 1,37,613 have turned out to be negative.

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 20,938, including 110 fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 1,826 cases are currently active.

As many as 163 patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 18,895.

A total of 175 deaths have occured so far, including two on Monday.
