Bagalkot: 50 persons take single bus for coronavirus test

Daijiworld Media Network - Bagalkot (SP)

Bagalkot, Apr 9: About 50 persons from a Madrassa and its surrounding buildings in Mudhol in the district went for coronavirus test by a single bus.

The government and various agencies have been insisting on the need to maintain social distancing. But people living in a Madrassa at Mudhol along with people in the neighbourhood went for the test in a single bus, duly overlooking this requirement.

A person of Gujarat origin had stayed in the Madrassa in question. After it was confirmed that he was infected with coronavirus, people having primary and secondary contact with him opted to undergo the test. Many have criticized the health department for bringing the entire batch in a single bus to Bagalkot for quarantine. As people having infection travelled to Bagalkot with others who are not, the fear of many people getting infected is bright. It is learnt that after the test, these people will be quarantined in the government hostel in the outskirts of the city.
