Udupi, May 11: 'The Icon', another top-notch residential project by Nissi Infinity Promoters and Developers, Udupi was inaugurated on Wednesday May 10 near Kadbettu here.
Riyan and Jaren, sons of promoters Macquin and Joyan, formally inaugurated the building by cutting the ribbon at the entrance of the project.
Somashekhar Bhat, senior BJP leader and former president of Udupi zilla panchayat, formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Fr Fred Mascarenhas, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi and Fr Royson Fernandes, assistant parish priest, blessed the project.
Jerry Vincent Dias, K Raghupati Bhat, Yashpal Suvarna and Somashekhar Bhat inaugurated various blocks and facilities of the apartment complex.
Addressing the gathering, Jerry Vincent Dias, president of Udupi Builders' Association said, "Due to God's blessings, today these two young promoters have completed the project. With this, the buyers' trust and confidence in them has increased, which in turn will help them grow in the years to come."
K Raghupati Bhat, former MLA of Udupi, said, "Udupi being a developing city, more such projects should come up in future. The real estate market is gradually picking up from the past few weeks. Hopefully it will normalise very soon."
Yashpal Suvarna, councillor of Kadbettu ward, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, general manager, Badagubettu Credit Cooperative Society, Udupi, Purushottam Shetty of Ujwal Developers, Udupi, Manohar Shetty, managing director, Sai Radha Group, Dr Vishwanath Shanbhag of City Hospital, Udupi, promoters Macquin Monterio and Joyan Lewis were present on the occasion.
Riya Monteiro welcomed the gathering, Jennifer Lewis briefed about the project, while Joyan Lewis and Macquin Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks.
About the Icon
The 'Icon' is a residential apartment and fourth project of Nissi Infinity Promoters and Developers located in the heart of the city. The project has come up on one acre of land, and constitutes two wings 'A' and 'B'. There are 45 spacious apartments in 'A' wing and 40 in 'B' wing.
