Kaup: Youth slips, drowns in rivulet when swimming

Kaup, Nov 19: A youth who had visited a rivulet near Mannal dam in Kurkalu village near Shirva met watery grave after he accidentally slipped. This incident happened on Sunday, November 17.

Ashok Salian (45) from Alevoor, Udupi, and his relative, Shivakumar (25), had together gone to he rivulet to swim on Sunday at around 4 pm. Ashok said in a complaint filed in the police station at Shirva that Shivakumar slipped and fell into the rivulet on this occasion.

A case about the incident was registered in Shirva police station.
