Mangaluru, Jun 24: “Children from childhood imitate their father, mother and relatives. They follow in their footsteps throughout their lives. The examples of elders at home and teachers in schools lay the foundations for their values,” said Bengaluru BACCE organization director Swamy Sharad Viharidas.

Besant High School in the city and Vishwa Parishat Mannagudde committee held a discussion forum for parents of school and high school students in the city on the part of parents in children’s education on June 23.

Swamy Sharad Viharidas who was the resource person said that human formation or personality evolutions are not inspiration for securing marks alone. “Those should develop character. Those who inculcate good character and values only can be assets of the country,” he said.



Besant Institute secretary K Devananda Pai inaugurated the programme and called on parents to pay attention to how they can participate in children’s education.

Besant National High School convener Bykadi Janardhan Achar presided over the programme. Headmistress Chandrika K A earlier welcomed everyone. Vishwa Hindu Parishat’s Kumara Swamy Kokkada gave an introductory address. Ashok S Lamani rendered the vote of thanks. Rathnavati Bykadi and Rajeshwari sang poems and entertained the parents.
