Recipes - Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients:

400 gms. paneer
2 tbsp. butter
1 medium onion
2 small tomatoes
¼  cup cashew nuts
½ “ginger
2 flakes garlic
½ cup fresh cream
1 tbsp. chilly powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp. garam masala powder
½ tsp. turmeric powder
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method:

Heat oil in a  pan and shallow fry paneer till slightly golden brown . Grind onion and  tomato separately and set aside. Soak cashew nuts for 1 hour and grind to a smooth paste. Grind ginger and garlic also to a smooth paste. Heat butter in a pan/kadai with little oil. Add ginger-garlic and onion pastes and saute for some time. Now add tomato puree, salt as per taste, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Add fried paneer to it and cook for 2 minutes. Now add fresh cream, stir well. Finally add cashew nut paste. Mix well and garnish with coriander leaves.
