Recipes - FIsh Cutlets - Mackerels

Ingredients:

Big Mackerels 5 - 6
Onions Big 3
Ginger piece 2"
Garlic 1 pod
Green Chillies 6
Turmeric Powder 2 tsp.
Jeera Powder 3 tsps.
Pepper Powder 2 tsps.
Veg.Maggie Cube 1 No.
Corriander Leaves One handful
Limes (Small) 2 - 3
Eggs 2
Water 3 Cups
Semolina
Oil for frying
Salt to taste

Method :

First clean and wash the fish. Squeeze lime, put salt, 1 tsp each of turmeric, Jeera and Pepper powder and marinate for half an hour. Boil this marinated fish with 3 cups of water till the water dries.

Chop the onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Take little oil in a pan and fry onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies. When fried well, add 1 tsp. turmeric powder , 2 tsps. Jeera powder and 1 tsp. Pepper powder and then add the Maggie cube. Let this mixture cool.

Seperate the flesh of the fish from bones and mash the mixture nicely. Then add the onion mixture,eggs and finely chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Take a little portion of this mixture make a small ball and then flatten it with your palms and roll it in semolina (rava) and shallow fry on medium fire. Do not
burn them.

Note : Never leave the mixture for the next day as all water comes out.So if the mixture is more, make balls, flatten and roll in rava and keep in a plate (in the fridge) covered with silver foil and let it defrost before frying.
