Mangaluru, Jul 10: Girish N, assistant professor in the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in English of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here, has been awarded a PhD for his thesis entitled 'A Semiotic Study of the Science Fiction Films of James Cameron' by Kuvempu University.

He prepared his doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Prof Nagya Naik B H from the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in English at Kuvempu University, Shivamogga.

The official notification has been issued by the university on March 17.
