Mangaluru, Jun 28: Coronavirus claimed its 13th victim in Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday June 28.
The deceased is a 51-year-old woman, a resident of Jokatte.
The woman had been suffering from tuberculosis as well.
On the evening of June 26, she was admitted to a private hospital in the city, where she was tested for coronavirus. She was found to have contracted the virus.
On Sunday alone, three deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the district. Earlier in the day, a 57-year-old woman from Bantwal and a 31-year-old man from Suratkal lost their battle with coronavirus.
The death toll in the district has now risen to 13.
