Prayers alone wont cut it. Action to reverse climate change is needed as the earth is getting hotter due to human interference and now they seek divine assistance to continue with their mindless atrocities against God's creation.

How long will Indian politicians depend on fantasy solutions like praying to various gods for timely rainfall? When will they begin to use common sense and find practical solutions like cloud-seeding and desalination plants? People in the Middle East and Israel enjoy prosperous lifestyles in spite of acute water scarcity because their leaders have adopted scientific methods to overcome a serious problem more than 30 years ago. We can do the same, but only if our so-called 'leaders' stop playing power games and focus on genuinely helping the common people who vote for them with high hopes, but are forgotten as soon as the election results are announced.

i feel if we join together in this numbers during vanamahostav and plant 2 saplings per person every year ,that would really make the creator and creation both happy.
we are least bothered about all these envirnmental issues,we are busy fighting unwanted isues with deeper intrests.
Atleast let us take this condition of ours seriously and start planting saplings ,let all the groups support such creative activities.
let us fight togethr against plastic.let us fight against pollution, let us fight to uplift conditions of endangered animals.

Prayers are definitely required. However, there is need to preserve and develop the resources the almighty has given. At one end lakhs of trees are cut for Yettinahole project and on the other people are praying for rain.

Even the God must be confused as to why these people spoil my nature and then beg me to shower rain?

While it is nice to see people from all faiths praying for rains, just prayers won't help at all times. In addition of prayers, we should think about measures to induce rains. Now that the monsoon is round the corner, the MLA should urge the people to plant saplings. Each and every one of us must do that without fail. Fill all vacant places with trees.

Some GCC countries used to do the same. But prayers did not work.

So they have started cloud seeding.

    And that works.
