Mangaluru: Two groups of Haj pilgrims return from holy pilgrimage

Mangaluru, Sep 8: Out of pilgrims who undertook Haj pilgrimage under the central Haj committee from here, two teams reached the international airport here on Thursday September 7. A total of 316 pilgrims came back by two flights.

The first Air India flight carrying 158 pilgrims touched down here at 8.50 am. The second group reached at 11.50 am. Although both the flights were expected to reach here at 6 and 10 am respectively, because of delay in taking off from Jeddah airport, there was delay in their arrival, it is gathered.

MLA, Mohiuddin Bava, president of Haj managing committee, Y Muhammed Kunhi, S M Rashid Haji, C Mehmood Haji, state Haj committee officials, Fairoze Basha, Muneer Pasha, Wakf officer, Abubakker Haji and others were present.

Two more flights carrying 316 pilgrims are expected to reach the airport today.
