Mangaluru, Jul 11: Seven kilometres away from the heart of Mangaluru city lies Shakthi Residential School and PU College, providing a very conducive atmosphere for learning amidst lush greenery and serene environment.

Shakthi Pre-School

Shree Gopalakrishna Pre-School was founded in 2015 with 25 Students in each class kept under the caring eyes of Montessori trained teachers to ensure smooth physical, mental and emotional development in children and promote interpersonal relationships. Presently, it is re-named as Shakthi Pre-School.

Shakthi Residential School

The inception of Shakthi Residential School and PU College was in 2018. The state-of-the-art infrastructure houses spacious well ventilated and aesthetically furnished AC class rooms, top class laboratories, finest library, smart classes, swimming pool, playground, hostel facility and auditorium. The highly qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty inspire creative learning in the school atmosphere.

CBSE curriculum is followed from grade 1 and 10 and along with the co-curricular activities like karate, instrumental learning, dance, drama, art and music is also given importance. Special sessions on communicative English and calligraphy are undertaken to improve writing skills. Karadi path introduction has helped the primary children to comprehend new terms well and improve their vocabulary. A full time counsellor is made available to empathise and suggest remedies for all forms of grief and relationship difficulties.

Shakthi PU College

The Pre-University Education Department and the Karnataka state had jointly given permission to begin PU Education in Shakthi campus in 2018. For the students influenced by Science and Technology, PCMB and PCMC options are provided to facilitate their admissions further into the professional college of their choice.

For the ones influenced by commerce and trade, EBAC and SEBA combinations are made available. Huge laboratories of 2,000 sq ft and experienced faculty are an added essence to the learning.

Special attention is given to language mastery. English, Hindi, Kannada, French and Sanskrit could be selected.

Prayer Session

A special prayer session is held for 15 minutes on a daily basis, where in Deepa Mantra, Saraswathi Vandana, Brahmanada, Gayathri Mantra and Shanthi Mantra is chanted along with the national song. This practice has inculcated punctuality, discipline, social responsibility and patriotism.

Shakthi Coaching Academy

The platform remains open to the aspirants from the state and other states whose aim is to get into a reputed professional college. Special attention is given and classes are conducted by external subject faculty in the area of Medical – NEET & Engineering based JEE (Main & Advanced) KCET. CA, CS & CLAT Coaching is provided to the commerce stream.

Shakthi Hostels

It is a synonym for ‘Home away from home’. The facility provided is of International standard. Every room has an attached washroom, separate cot, study table, chairs, shoe rack and a cupboard with good light and ventilation facility. The rooms are maintained spick and span.

Vegetarian cafeteria is maintained with a well-planned menu for 15 days. Meals are made compulsory for all staff and day boarding students at a nominal fee to bring in uniformity in eating culture.

A 24x7 surveillance system is adopted to provide a very secure environment to the inmates of the hostel in the pristine 4 acre plot.

Accomplishments

In a very short span of 3 years, the institution has been recognised for its socially responsible activities and academic performance. Shakthi PU College achieved cent percent results in both Science and Commerce streams.

Shakthi Advanced Learning and Shakthi Research Forum is an additional learning programme to prepare students to face the competitive world and fostering critical thinking and analytical skills through hands-on learning.

Shakthi Commerce Advanced Learning creates a platform for the commerce based exams that would lay a foundation for all future avenues that the students would be exposed to.
