Fake circular declaring holiday for Udupi schools, colleges goes viral

Udupi, Jul 4: A fake circular which stated Udupi district commissioner declaring holiday for the schools and colleges of the district on July 5 was circulated on social media by unknown miscreants.

A morphed image of a circular which was issued in the last week by the Udupi district commissioner declaring a day’s holiday for schools and colleges in the district due to heavy rains, was shared on social media.

The district administration clarified that the circulated image is a fake one and no holiday is declared for the school and colleges of the district on July 5. Only schools and colleges of Hebri taluk have been given holiday due to continuous rain.

The morphed image went viral on the social media.
