Kundapur: Mortal remains of man found who went missing after car plunged into sea

Udupi, Jul 4: The mortal remains of Roshan Acharya, who went missing after their car plunged in the sea in a tragic accident on July 2 late night, was found near Trasi Hosakote on Monday July 4. A wide search for the body was in progress since Sunday.

Veeraj Acharya and his relatives Kartik, Roshan and Sandesh were on their way in a car from Kundapur to Kumta.

When their car reached near Varah Maharaja temple, Maravanthe, Veeraj who was driving reportedly carelessly and speeding away, lost control over it. The car hit a roadside wall, toppled and fell into the Arabian Sea.

Kartik Acharya and Sandesh were injured in the accident but escaped miraculously. Veeraj Acharya died on the spot. Roshan Acharya went missing in the mishap.

A case in this connection was registered at Gangolli police station.
