Mangaluru, Jun 7: The university college at Hampankatta here, has issued notice to the Muslim girl students who had violated the dress code. The notice was issued by principal Dr Anusuya Rai.
The students had held a press conference on June 4. The notice issued by the principal says, “You have held press conference in cooperation with outside forces. The prestige of the college is harmed because of your statements against the institution as well as the principal.”
The notice also questions the violators as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against them. The principal has sought an answer to the notice within three days.
As a first step, notice is served to the Muslim girl students who violated the dress code by wearing hijab inside the classroom, including Ghousia. Warning is issued that any further recurrence will result in suspension.
