FKCA to celebrate Federation Day with multiple events in aid of Cancer Relief Fund

Bengaluru, May 22: The Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations (FKCA) is thrilled to announce its 26th Annual Federation Day celebration, a day-long extravaganza scheduled for the May 26 from 10 am to 9:30 pm at Palace Grounds, Anantya, Gate no 9. This is aimed at raising funds towards Cancer Relief Fund and other charitable activities of FKCA. This event promises a diverse range of activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages.

Event Highlights:

Awards Ceremony at 5.30 pm: Recognizing outstanding contribution, the awards ceremony will honour individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact in their respective fields. 

Lifetime Achievement Award

Margaret Alva, former union minister & former governor – Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujarat.

Professional Excellence Award

Faye D’Souza, renowned journalist, founder & editor – Beatroot News 

Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Rohan Monteiro, founder chairman – Rohan Corporation India Pvt Ltd.

Special Community Service Recognition

Dr Anthony Lucas (Tony Lucas), chairman, Bangalore District Football Association and governing board member of Karnataka State Football Association. 

Job Fair: Over 50 companies will participate in the job fair, offering more than 1000 vacancies across various sectors. Job seekers can connect with potential employers and explore exciting career opportunities - (10.30 am to 4.30 pm)

CEO Connect: Irina Ghose, managing director, Microsoft India will deliver the keynote address on ”The era of AI is here: Are you ready?” followed by a thought leadership panel discussion - (1.30 pm to 4 pm)

Entrepreneurs, executives, and business leaders can engage in insightful discussions, networking, and knowledge-sharing during the CEO Connect programme, learn from industry experts and gain valuable insights.

Dance Competition: Witness captivating performances by talented dancers competing for top honours.

Vintage Vehicle Rally: Vintage vehicle enthusiasts can marvel at a parade of classic automobiles.

Food Fest: Food enthusiasts can indulge in a culinary delight with a variety of cuisines, there’s something for everyone.

Cultural Programme: Participants can immerse themselves in cultural performances celebrating the diversity of Konkani Catholic community through artistic expressions.

Traditional Band: Brass band from Yenkalnaa ooru, Kudla to provide an authentic touch to the festivities.

Live Band: Groove to live music performed by Agneyastra (7.30 pm). Whether you prefer rock, jazz, or fusion, the musical entertainment will keep you tapping your feet.

Fun & Games for Children: Kids can enjoy a day of fun-filled activities, games, and entertainment. From face painting to balloon animals, there’s no shortage of excitement.

Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Cancer Relief Fund as well as other charitable activities of FKCA. Let’s come together to support a noble cause.

Esteemed guests and dignitaries from various fields will grace the occasion. The event's chief guest will be justice N Santosh Hegde, former judge, hon’ble supreme court of India and the guests of honour include K J George, cabinet minister of Energy, Government of Karnataka and J R Lobo, former MLA (Mangaluru City South),

The event will be presided over by Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, designate director FMCI, Kankanady & Admin., FMHC&H, Derlakatte.

The celebration will commence with a vibrant cultural extravaganza presented by member associations. The formal program is scheduled to begin at 5.30 pm. FKCA cordially invites everyone to witness and participate in the event.

Established in 1998, Federation of Konkani Catholic associations (FKCA) aims to advocate for the rights and interests of Christians in society, not only in Karnataka and India but also across the globe. Currently, FKCA comprises 35 Konkani Catholic associations, including 11 associations in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chikmagalur, as well as associations in Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, USA, UK, Canada, Germany and other locations.

FKCA has been actively involved in various programmes such as education scholarships, healthcare initiatives, medical aid, and blood donation camps to support those in need, regardless of their religious or cultural background.
