AAP gets Assembly poll run-up jolt as its Karnataka vice-president Bhaskar Rao joins BJP

Bengaluru, Mar 1 (IANS): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Karnataka suffered a major setback after one of its most prominent faces in the state, Bhaskar Rao, joined the BJP on Wednesday.

Former Bengaluru Police commissioner and vice president of the AAP's Karnataka unit, Bhaskar Rao was welcomed by BJP's state unit president Nalinkumar Kateel among others.

Apart from being inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the saffron party, Rao claimed that the AAP is run by a coterie. He also pointed to the developments in Delhi.

"It's shameful that two of the AAP ministers are in jail. There's no clarity in the party," Rao noted.

Rao had recently been appointed the chairperson of the AAP election manifesto committee for Karnataka.

An IPS officer belonging to the Karnataka-cadre, Rao had joined the AAP about a year ago after opting for voluntary retirement.

Commenting on his exit, Rao had claimed Tuesday that there was no scope for growth in the party and he has, therefore, decided to move on.

Coming ahead of the Assembly elections slated to be held in less than two months, the development puts the AAP on the backfoot in a state where it is eyeing for its major foray into south India.

Have u ever heard a name Puska Rao?? Well I found out one today here! Puskaa Ha Ha... Many are there.. I wish I Was there, Pen longer than sword, etc etc but this takes the cake. To bring to the knowledge of Puska Saaheb here, Bhaskar Rao took the Puskaa route for I think... 1.He was appalled when a rapist posing as a physiotherapist was massaging AAP Minister A satya in jail!He couldn't take it anymore when DYCM Sissadi somebody was caught gulping more than he could swallow. So dumb he was he thought if he kept his locker, cupboard clean he would not be caught. Alas for him the CBI skinned Vijay Arora, his and Arvindas close aide who spilled the beans!! Next u will kind Kejri doing Kujli in jail!wait n watch.

BJP has planted many in AAP. At the time of need they will jump to it. This happened earlier also. People like VK Singh was running around AAP duing its initial formation. Then jumped to BJP solidly. Even in congress there may be some such black sheep's. It depends on DKS how he can filter them out prior to elections.

These wolves in sheep's cloak join AAP and when their sheep skin gets exposed, they simply join the party in power to save their skin. Every party in power misuses the Agencies to their advantage, politics is dirty. AAP leaders are too good to be politicians, unfortunately we common people are doomed regardless of the party. AAP are actually light at the end of the runnel, but the tunnel is too long and they do not have enough army and finances right now, but down the line few more years hopefully.

'No tolerance for corruption...': BJP welcomes SC order on Manish Sisodia's plea in Delhi liquor policy scam. Tolerable commission needs to be 40% or above. This is accepted custom and has become part of culture. Defend the culture or else you might become anti-national. New logic.
