Kundapur, Jan 23: Yuva Bantara Sangha, Kundapur taluk, held a programme to distribute scholarships, felicitate special achievers, present Dr Madhukar Shetty award 2020 and the late M Gopala Shetty memorial award for progressive farmer.
Entrepreneur Gurme Suresh Shetty who inaugurated the programme said that students should inculcate values and culture along with education doing humane work uniting the society. “The goal of life should be clear. Degree should not be to obtain a job alone but life’s values should also be learnt with them. Our lives should be a beautiful poem by humane work,” he said.
Dr Madhukar Shetty award was presented to Alamatti Krishnabhagya Jalanigama finance officer Ajith Kumar Hegde Shanadi by DCP Hareram Shanker. Ajith Kumar Hegde responded to the award saying that he is proud to have worked as news reporter in Brahmavar for Mungaru newspaper started by Dr Madhukar Shetty’s father Raghuram Shetty. He said that students should think about studying for IPS and IAS also.
Late M Gopalakrishna Shetty Kandavara Kelamane award for progressive farmer was presented on behalf of late Haddur Rajiv Shetty to his wife Mamata R Shetty.
Yuva Bantara Sangha Kundapur president Sunil Kumar Shetty Harikudru presided over the programme.

Parents of Surabhi Shetty Uppunda who came out first in Bunts community in SSLC examination, Anwita Shetty Idoor Kunjadi who came out second among Bunts community in PUC examination were felicitated. Students who topped in the examination were presented scholarships. They were also provided aid under Arogya Bhagya scheme.
Yuva Bantara Sangha president Sunil Kumar Shetty Herikudru welcomed. Sukumar Shetty Kamalashile prayed in the style of Yakshagana. Pratapchandra Shetty Halnad gave a keynote address. Sachin Kumar Shetty and Deepak Kumar Shetty Kovadi read letters of felicitation. Santhosh Shetty Hykadi and Rajiv Shetty introduced the special achievers. Manoraj Shetty Jamboor read the list of scholarship beneficiaries. R J Nayana Shetty Yarukone and Ahshay Hegde compered the programme.
