Mangaluru: Christmas celebrated at Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem

Mangaluru, Jan 2: Christmas at Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem was special experience for the faithful.

The celebrations began on December 24 evening with the singing of the Christmas carols by the choir followed by a Mass celebrated by Fr Victor D’Mello. The faithful gathered in large numbers and participated in the Eucharistic celebration devoutly. Soon after the Mass, the youth of the parish organized the auction of a basket of ‘Kuswar’ and a game of ‘Housie-Housie‘.



The celebrations did not end there. The next evening on Christmas Day, the youth organized a cultural programme with games for kids, dance performances and the august presence of our beloved Santa Claus.

There was a special performance by the clergy of the parish, Fr Victor, Fr Jayaprakash and Br Gleron enhanced the spirit of Christmas by singing a classic Wilfy number.

During the programme, the winners of the greeting card, Crib and selfie competitions were announced and prizes were awarded to the winners.

The program concluded with lovely, entertaining and thought provoking drama organized by youth and parishioners of the parish.
