Srinivas Institute observes World Heart Day with interactive quiz

Mangaluru, Oct 3: The Department of Perfusion Technology, Srinivas Institute of Allied Health Sciences, observed World Heart Day 2026 on September 29 at Classroom 321, under the guidance of course coordinator Sana Farhath.

The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of cardiovascular health, common heart diseases, prevention of cardiovascular risk factors, and the significance of maintaining a healthy heart.

As part of the observance, an interactive quiz competition was conducted for the 1st semester BSc Perfusion Technology students. The quiz covered basic concepts related to the anatomy and physiology of the heart, cardiovascular system, circulation, common cardiac conditions, and fundamental aspects of cardiovascular health. The activity encouraged active participation among the students and provided them with an opportunity to reinforce their classroom knowledge in an engaging and interactive manner.

The programme also highlighted the importance of healthy lifestyle practices and awareness regarding cardiovascular diseases. The students actively participated in the quiz and demonstrated enthusiasm and knowledge in the field of cardiovascular sciences.

The World Heart Day programme concluded successfully with active participation from the students. The event served as an informative and engaging academic activity, strengthening students’ understanding of heart health and creating greater awareness about the importance of cardiovascular well-being.
