Philadelphia, Jun 20: Brazil registered their first win of the FIFA World Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Haiti at Philadelphia Stadium on Saturday, with Matheus Cunha and Vinicius Junior helping the five-time champions secure a commanding result.
Cunha starred for Brazil by scoring twice in the first half, while Vinicius Junior added another goal before the break to put the South Americans firmly in control.
The scoreline remained unchanged in the second half as Brazil dominated possession and managed the game effectively to claim all three points.

Brazil had entered the match under pressure after being held to a draw by Morocco in their opening Group C fixture. The victory moved Brazil to the top of the group on goal difference.
Earlier, Morocco secured a narrow 1-0 win over Scotland in another Group C encounter. Ismael Saibari scored in the opening minute of the match, and Morocco successfully defended the lead until the final whistle.
Meanwhile, the United States booked their place in the knockout stage with a 2-0 victory over Australia in a Group D clash in Seattle.
The hosts took control in the first half after an own goal from Cameron Burgess and a header by Alex Freeman gave them a two-goal advantage.
The win followed the USA’s 4-1 victory over Paraguay in their opening match. With two wins from two games, the United States became the second team after Mexico to qualify for the knockout rounds.
It also marked the first time the American team has progressed from the group stage with a match still remaining and ended a 96-year wait for back-to-back World Cup victories.
