Mangaluru, Mar 30: The second session of the 8th Convocation Ceremony of Srinivas University was held on March 28 at the Mukka campus.
Chief guest Ganti Venkata Kiran (chairman of Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited, Mangaluru, and director of production, projects, and finance) addressed the gathering, stating that the knowledge and skills acquired by students form a strong foundation for their lives, and that their sincerity towards continuous learning will determine their success. He highlighted that the legacy of Srinivas University stands as a testament to the hard work of its founder chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao. What began with just seven students has now grown into an institution with over 16,000 students across various disciplines, he said.








Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, he said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” He emphasized that vision is the ability to see the unseen and urged students to create opportunities to turn their dreams into reality while moving forward to face global challenges with determination.
Srinivas University chancellor, Dr A Srinivas Rao presided over the program and congratulated all graduates and their parents. He noted that fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and computer science engineering are key requirements in today’s industrial sector. He added that Srinivas University has designed its curriculum in line with industry needs, incorporating technical skills and global certifications, ensuring that its graduates are well-prepared to face real-world challenges.
Srinivas University board of governors member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Prof A Mithra S Rao, Ishan Rao, Srinivas University vice chancellor Dr K Satyanarayana Reddy, Vasundhara Kiran, Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar, Dr Srinivasa Mayya D (Registrar, Evaluation), and Dr Ajay Kumar (registrar, development) were present on the dais.
Prof A Mithra S Rao administered the oath to the graduates.
Dr Anil Kumar delivered the welcome address, while assistant registrar Dr Jayashree Bolar proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Prof Rohan Fernandes and Dr Swati.
