Brahmavar: Private bus catches fire on highway, seven passengers escape unhurt

Brahmavar, Aug 20: A private bus caught fire on the national highway near Brahmavar in Udupi district on Thursday morning. Fortunately, all seven passengers on board escaped unhurt.

The private bus was travelling from Udupi to Sagara when it suddenly caught fire. The conductor acted swiftly and immediately evacuated the passengers from the bus. As a result, a major mishap was averted and all the passengers escaped without any danger to their lives.

Preliminary information suggests that the fire broke out in the bus’s EDC box.

As soon as they received information about the incident, Udupi fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot and carried out an operation to successfully douse the flames.
