New Delhi, May 11: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will resume next week across four venues, with the final venues for the matches still to be finalised, as per reports. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the tournament will restart with a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). However, the venues for the eliminator and final matches are expected to remain the same.
A BCCI official stated, "The venues for the tournament's restart will be shortlisted soon. The venues for the qualifier, eliminator, and final are likely to remain unchanged, although there may be changes to the final venue if rain is expected to affect the matches in Kolkata."

The IPL 2025 had been postponed for a week on Friday following security concerns related to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, which was being played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala, was called off midway through the first innings due to security risks. Spectators were asked to vacate the stadium, and both teams were escorted back to their hotel.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia issued an official statement confirming the one-week suspension of the remainder of the IPL 2025, with further updates on the new schedule and venues to be announced soon. "The decision was taken after consultations with key stakeholders, including franchisees, broadcasters, sponsors, and fans. While the BCCI has full faith in the preparedness of our armed forces, it was considered prudent to act in the collective interest of all stakeholders," he added.
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla further clarified, stating, "No decision has been taken yet. The BCCI is working on the situation. The tournament was suspended for a week, and after yesterday's ceasefire, the tournament will restart soon."
