Dubai, Sep 6: India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 match in Dubai, bowling out their arch-rivals for just 55 runs in 18.1 overs before chasing down the target in 8.4 overs.

Pakistan's total was their lowest-ever score in T20 Internationals, as India's spinners produced a dominant bowling performance to leave the opposition struggling throughout the innings.

Young spinners Shree Charani and Prema Rawat claimed three wickets each, while Deepti Sharma took two wickets as India dismantled the Pakistan batting line-up.

Pakistan initially appeared to make a confident start, reaching 27 without loss. However, their innings soon collapsed as they lost six wickets for just nine runs.

Charani returned impressive figures of three for seven, while Rawat finished with three for nine. India's bowlers bowled 78 dot balls during Pakistan's innings and maintained relentless pressure to prevent their opponents from recovering.

India's chase was completed in just 8.4 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 18 as India comfortably reached the target to secure a seven-wicket victory.

The match was also a landmark occasion for Harmanpreet, who led India for the 150th time in T20 Internationals. She became the first international captain, male or female, to reach the milestone.

The victory further strengthened India's dominance over Pakistan in the T20 Asia Cup. India have now won seven of their eight meetings against Pakistan in the tournament.

India's comprehensive victory was built on disciplined bowling, with the spinners exploiting the conditions in Dubai and restricting Pakistan to a total from which they never looked capable of recovering.
