Nalin Kateel urges rail minister to introduce Vande Bharath train from Mangaluru to Goa

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Sep 22: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel called on union minister of railways Ashwini Vaishnaw in Delhi and sought the introduction of a new Vande Bharath Express train service between Mangaluru and Goa before the end of October.

The MP said that the minister has promised for Vande Bharath Express train service before the end of October and that he will not agree to the request of Kerala residents to extend Bengaluru – Kannur train till Kochi.

He also has agreed· to provide a passenger train to and fro from Subrahmanya Road to Mangaluru every morning, Kateel added.

The minister has directed to include the part of Dakshina Kannada that is currently in Palakkad division of Southern Railways to be released from the grip of Kerala and to include it under the Mysuru division of the South Western Railways.

The minister has directed officials to avoid unnecessary delays of trains running between Southern Railways and Konkan Railways.

Dear sir, Mangalore is ten times bigger than Kasaragod. Has two major railway stations in Palghat Division. But still two Vandhe Bharath train to Kasaragod and just stone throw distance from Mangalore. Why they have not extended Vande Bharath train up to Mangalore station which has more facilities than Kasaragod. They say technical problem. When first Vande Bharath was introduced they said because of Assembly election due to constraint rule by election commission. Now already three month over still no decision. This is purely a stepmother attitude by The Palghat division. Palghat railway only wants kerala to be developed. So Mr. Nalin kateel has to to pursue the issue and take immediate action, otherwise BJP will lose the Lok Sabha seats of Mangalore and Udupi constituencies during 2024 Election

Mangalore to Goa is too short and will not have enough patronage. It will never happen. Mangalore-Bangalore is also unlikely as there are sections in the ghat that mandate very slow speeds Mangalore-Mumbai is our best bet. Also, they can extend at least one of the Kasargod-Trivandrum VBs to Udupi or Byndoor(Kollur)

Nalinanna..... Andh Bhakths may believe your "Rail"..... but the fact is that Yeswanthpur Kannur Express will be extended to Kozhikode (Calicut) shortly, our MP is working towards the same..... Kerala got the second Vande Bharath with stoppage at Tirur (Malappuram District)..... If you have the guts, introduce two MEMU between Mangalore and Kundapur, which you will never do, because of the bus lobby..... Till such time, please stop your "Rail"

Mr.Kateel is getting bored sitting at home and wanted to have a trip to Delhi. So he made plan like this meeting railway minister for submitting a request letter of Vande Bharat train proposal between Mangalore and Goa for the benefit of the coastal people of D K district. By this plan people will not forget his name forever.

Vande bharat is only in name -- no better than any other train as the speed is less than 100 kms / hour -- possibly average 70 kms / hr -- -- The discussions and media hype propaganda was Trains at 150 kms / plus plus -- VANDE BHARAT -- -- AND GAME CHANGER etc - NOW - further the poor cannot afford -- they still travel cattle class - always crowded -- bad seating -- toilets etc -- other regular trains --

Is it worth to introduce Vande Bharat between Mlore and Goa for such a short distance ? waste of money. Rather the current vande Bharat plying between Trivandrum to Kasargod should be extended upto M'lore which shall generate more revenue and may be introducing 2 trains, one each from each side shall be more beneficial. As it is we have lot many trains running between M;lore and Goa, which is on Konkan line.

Compared to trains from north running towards Kerala, the trains from Mangalore to Goa - Mumbai are far less.

For the superstitious voters of Tulunadu, their concerns may revolve around issues such as naming after Veer Savarkar or constructing a Gopura for an old temple. However, it's important to note that these temples often lack basic amenities, including adequate parking facilities, and face challenges like river diversion (Nethravathi) and the establishment of harmful chemical-emitting factories. Nonetheless, there is a long list of promises for development, and one hopes for significant progress in this regard. It's worth noting that numerous new train announcements have been made, even benefiting Kerala and Tamil Nadu, seemingly to appease non-BJP voters. Unfortunately, there appears to be minimal return for the voters who brought the BJP to power. This situation arises from the BJP's confidence that religious issues alone can secure their votes in this region. Nevertheless, the upcoming election will pose a challenge for the BJP, as the Shudras have come to understand that this party seems to perpetuate the caste system and return power to the discriminatory Brahmins
