Special CBI court rejects Indrani Mukerjea's sixth bail plea

Mumbai, Aug 7: Considering that at present, the court could not draw a verdict that the defence has tarnished the credibility of the prosecution's evidence, a special CBI court evidence rejected Indrani Mukerjea's sixth bail plea. Mukerjea has been accused in the widely publicized Sheena Bora murder case.

Back in July, the court had rejected her plea for interim bail on the grounds of coronavirus.

So far, 67 witnesses have been deposed in the trial. Indrani had filed a plea last December and claimed the prosecution's case had collapsed, a report by TOI stated.
